La Florida

La Florida is a solar pv project close to Sevilla (Spain). Since there are no subsidies or feed-in-premiums there, Som Energia relied on Generation kWh to finance the project. La Florida is innovative because members accepted to provide zero interest loan to the cooperative so that it could develop the project. In return they will get access to energy from renewable sources at cost price. La Florida will produce enough electricity to cover the needs of about 1,000 families. Despite some archaeological constraints, the cooperative is hopeful to obtain the license this year and star the construction works.
