La Matallana

La Mantallana is a solar pv project close to Sevilla (Spain). Since there are no subsidies or feed-in-premiums there, Som Energia relied on Generation kWh to finance the project. La Mantallana is innovative because members accepted to provide zero interest loan to the cooperative so that it could develop the project. In return they will get access to energy from renewable sources at cost price. La Mantallana has been operational since 2018 and produce enough electricity to cover the needs of about 1,300 families.
